Mum To Joseph And Christopher (Friend)

March 25, 2008

The moment that you died
my heart was torn in two,
one side filled with heartache
the other died with you,
I often lay awake at night
when the world is fast asleep,
and take a walk down memory lane
with tears upon my cheeks,
remembering you is easy
I do it everyday
but missing you is heartache
that never goes away,
I hold you tightly within my heart
and there you will remain...

In Sympathy

So sorry for your loss. Your story has touched my heart. My nan passed away in July and it feels like my whole world has been taken away. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. God bless. I hope you find this poem of comfort, as I have done. x

What is Dying?

A ship sails and I stand watching till she fades on the horizon and someone at my side says 'She is gone'.

Gone where? Gone from my sight, that is all. She is just as large now as when I last saw her. Her diminished size and total loss from my sight is in me, not in her.

And just at the moment when someone at my side says she is gone there are others who are watching her coming over their horizon and other voices take up a glad shout 'There she comes!'

That is what dying is. An horizon and just the limit of our sight.

Lift us up, Oh Lord, that we may see further.

miss you nanna

God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be, so He put his arms around you and whispered, “Come to Me.” With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away, and although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
